“Sarah Sharp's soft-spoken singing style and quiet instrumentations offer a living room, fireside closeness that keeps her away from the lounge-singer stereotypes of similarly jazz-influenced performers." — @nprmusic, All Songs Considered The Sarah Sharp Quintet performs every Thursday evening in the basement, featuring John Fremgen, Masumi Jones, Oliver Steck, and Mitch Watkins.

In his acclaimed 25-year musical career, vocalist Kenny Williams has lit up stages nationally and internationally, and spent nearly a decade performing on Broadway in New York City, making his Broadway debut in Disney’s hit musical The Lion King. A tornado of talent and charisma, Williams possesses an impressive vocal range and a light-from-within aura. The Austin native studied voice at the University of Texas, and cut his teeth as an actor and an entertainer in clubs on the city’s famed 6th Street and at ZACH Theatre. Williams was born to entertain, and his star shines brightly. He is a truly gifted vocalist, while his spirit, energy, and passion will bring you back for more. This show will also be available via livestream at parkerjazzclub.com/livestream. Online donations welcome. All proceeds benefit local nonprofit Texas Jazz Society. Please note: Parker Jazz Club is a 21+ venue

Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for the Mark Scott Trio! Mark Scott – Guitar James Suter – Bass Daniel Dufour – Drums Austin-based guitarist, composer, and educator Mark Scott III is a sophisticated voice in the modern jazz guitar tradition, recognized for his "quiet confidence" and "narrative logic" (Brice Boorman). His debut album, Soft Light, reached #60 on the Roots Music Report Top 100 Jazz Albums chart and earned praise from legendary critic Scott Yanow as "a very impressive debut." Grounded in the lineage of Barney Kessel and Kenny Burrell, Scott’s playing balances technical mastery with a "less is more" philosophy. Currently a faculty member at Tarleton State University, Scott holds degrees from the University of North Texas and UT Austin, bridging the gap between jazz heritage and contemporary innovation. Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB. Ice will be available if needed, wine keys and 9oz cups provided! Doors at 7:15pm, Show at 7:30pm.
