Get ready for another amazing night of music featuring some of Vancouvers best at 2nd Floor Gastown. July 4th we have none other than Ballads, Bossas, and Blues gracing our stage! Ballads, Bossas, and Blues are a Vancouver-based band formed in 2016 to play the compositions of bandleader Jake Huse. They combine contemporary jazz with influences from reggae, African and groove music and often explore polyrhythms, polymetre and odd-time signatures. They have released two EP’s on Bandcamp, with the latest, 2, in 2024. Featuring: Jake Huse: Tenor Saxophone/Composition James Huumo: Keyboard Dan Howard: Bass Andrew Wilson: Drums The 2nd Floor Gastown offers Live Music on Thursdays - Sundays, open during Dinner Service from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Guests may seat for both sets depending on availability and manager discretion.
