Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring Nayo Jones Experience sponsored by JAZZ FOUNDATION OF AMERICA Nayo Jones (pronounced Nīyō) is a Chicago-born jazz vocalist and classically trained flutist who was raised in a musical family and developed her foundation in jazz under the guidance of her father, William “Doc” Jones. Now based in New Orleans, she is known for her dynamic vocal range and signature blend of jazz standards, soul, and contemporary influences. She leads her own group, The Nayo Jones Experience, while also touring as a featured vocalist with Kermit Ruffins and performing with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, including on their tribute to Allen Toussaint. Jones has appeared at major festivals including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Fest, and Satchmo SummerFest, as well as international stages in Europe and across the United States. She has shared the stage with artists such as George Benson, Chris Botti, Rick Braun, and Richard Elliot, and maintains long-running residencies in New Orleans venues including the Hotel Monteleone and the Jazz Playhouse. Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring A.J. Haynes A.J. Haynes is an award winning interdisciplinary enchantress from Louisiana and leader of the acclaimed soul power band Seratones. A current artist-in-residence at Ashé Cultural Arts Center through Artists at Work, her work spans performance, ritual, and immersive storytelling, rooted in the belief that art is collective community care. As a reproductive justice advocate, she engages sound and ancestral technologies to affirm the body as a sacred site of liberation and pleasure. With a voice both powerful and tender, A.J. plays in the liminal spaces of Black diasporic sound—soul, rock & roll, disco, gospel, folk, and found-soundscapes—conjuring spellbinding experiences uniquely her own. Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring Shawan Rice Trio Shawan Rice is a New Orleans–based guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and storyteller whose work highlights original compositions alongside reinterpretations of influential repertoire. She performs regularly throughout the city with a rotating lineup of respected musicians, including Donald Ramsey and Chris Senac on bass, as well as drummers Terrence Houston and Rodney Weber, among a broad network of collaborators within the New Orleans music community. Touring for more than a decade across the United States and internationally, she has appeared on major stages including the Congo Square stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the Jazz Ascona Festival in Switzerland, and has shared bills with artists such as Grace Potter and George Porter Jr.. Her performances range from full-band sets to intimate ensembles and solo appearances, unified by an expressive, emotionally driven approach to live music. Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring Autumn Dominguez & Arnold Little III A versatile New Orleans–based saxophonist, vocalist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and educator originally from Prescott, Arizona, Autumn Dominguez is known for her dynamic jazz performances and genre-blending original work. She freelances throughout the city’s vibrant music scene and has performed with artists and ensembles including Gabrielle Cavassa, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Branden Lewis of Preservation Hall, and Ashlin Parker’s Trumpet Mafia, appearing at major events like the Jazz & Heritage Festival. Beyond performing, Dominguez leads her own projects, composes and arranges for dance and ensemble, and teaches aspiring musicians while continuing to record and release thoughtful, cross-genre music. Arnold Little III is a rising guitarist and musician based in New Orleans, Louisiana , known for his soulful blend of jazz, blues, and roots-inspired playing. Born in 2003 and a native of the Crescent City, Arnold has become an active presence on the local music scene, performing regularly at venues like the Dew Drop Inn and collaborating with fellow New Orleans artists. As a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans’ music program , he brings both formal training and deep cultural connection to his performances, weaving rich storytelling into his guitar work. Whether interpreting classic jazz repertoire or exploring contemporary sounds, Arnold’s playing reflects the vibrant musical heritage of his hometown and his own evolving artistic voice.
