NO COVER 4:30pm Show Robert Lehmann brings together disparate influences while reflecting his experience as a mixed Filipino American in the Midwest. He blends improvised and semi-composed material on pianos, synths, and drum pad, combining neoclassical, jazz, minimalism, ambient, and drone into soundtracky vibes. He invites listeners into an introspective space—to ground themselves and reflect on their own memories—while also encouraging them to connect to a bigger collective experience. Toby Ramaswamy is a composer, drummer, and producer based in Minneapolis. He has been fortunate enough to work with and learn from a diverse group of Minneapolis musicians and artists in a wide range of genres. As a drummer, he plays regularly with artists including Tabah, rice, Barlow, Jo Kellen, Tram, Eric Mayson, Wheel Eternal, and CB. NO COVER 4:30pm Show Steven Hobert's sound embodies wonder and mystery. He seeks to facilitate playfulness and healing, provoke compassion, and warmly sink into the moment. Hobert performs on piano, accordion, and vocals as a soloist; with jazz project Sirclesound; with the world beat-driven ensemble FireFlyForest; and as part of Oudyano with renowned Syrian oud player Issam Rafea. He has released three albums: "Ballet," "Ocean Eyes," and "Soft Equation." Percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Tim O’Keefe has been regularly performing in the Twin Cities and across the United States and Canada for over 40 years. O’Keefe has accompanied internationally renowned world music artists including Simon Shaheen, Nassar Musa, Sattar, Morteza, and George Lammam. He recorded the duet CD “Passionate Voice of the Oud” with award-winning Jordanian oud player Sakhar Hattar. Locally, O’Keefe performs with a range of world music groups: Choro Borealis, Maithree with Nirmala Rajesakar, Batucada do Norte, and many others. NO COVER 4:30pm Show Mill City Hot Club plays music that was first popularized in the 1930s by Quintette du Hot Club de France with guitarist Django Reinhardt, violinist Stephan Grappelli, and other popular musicians of the day. In keeping with this spirit of collaboration, on some nights, Mill City Hot Club are an acoustic ensemble with guitar, upright bass, and violin; other times, they have electric guitar, clarinet, saxophone, and drums. Many of the Twin Cities’ best musicians come together to play this jazz manouche music, which is eclectic, fun, entertaining, and nostalgic.
