Experience an authentic Austin jazz evening at the Texas Music Museum with the Eddie Durham Tribute featuring Double Vision Jazz Ensemble. This special program celebrates Eddie Durham, the Texas-born jazz pioneer whose work as a guitarist, trombonist, composer, and arranger helped shape the sound of swing and modern jazz. Born in San Marcos, Texas, Durham remains one of the most important figures in Texas jazz history. Co-led by John Mills and Hank Hehmsoth, Double Vision Jazz Ensemble brings together contemporary jazz, original composition, modern swing, and historical storytelling in a program designed for both dedicated listeners and visitors looking for a distinctive Austin cultural experience.
