Bonnie has one foot rooted in jazz heritage and one foot stepping forward creating a fresh new voice in the musical landscape. Saxophonist and composer Ardeshir Pourkeramati celebrates the release of his debut album with a two-night engagement at Frankie's Jazz Club on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11. Currently based in Vancouver, Ardeshir is an alumnus of USC’s Thornton School of Music. He is an active member of the Canadian music scene and leads various musical projects. Ardeshir will be joined by an outstanding ensemble featuring Julian Borkowski - trumpet, Winston Matsushita - piano, David Caballero - bass and Graham Villette - drumsas well as some special guests. The quintet will perform the repertoire from the album, which is mostly dedicated to the great jazz masters who have influenced him.
