Live Jazz in Vancouver

Get ready for another amazing night of music featuring some of Vancouvers best at 2nd Floor Gastown. June 30 we have none other then MC4 gracing our stage! Mark Campbell plays guitar in this incendiary and adventurous quartet. Mark is a long standing performer from the Vancouver area and mixes elements of rock, jazz and reggae into his playing. An in demand and seasoned performer, Jason Overy holds down drum kit duties with the MC4. He has developed curriculum in percussion, hand drumming and Taiko drumming and teaches music in a variety of settings. Upright bassist Russell Scholberg brings his many years of expertise and creativity to the MC4. He is a veteran musician and teacher from the Vancouver scene having performed with many different and diverse groups. Multi instrumentalist Laurence Santos adds tenor saxophone and keyboards to the group. A performer, composer and teacher, Lzo brings his talented gifts to the West Coast scene, recording and performing out of Vancouver. The 2nd Floor Gastown offers Live Music on Thursdays - Sundays, open during Dinner Service from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Guests may seat for both sets depending on availability and manager discretion. Professional veterans of the Vancouver Caribbean/reggae scene, this upbeat reggae/ funk band continues to pack dance floors everywhere. Led by singer/rapper/drummer Darryl Reimer, they bring an energetic mix of originals and unique reggae versions of well-loved pop songs. Rich, three-part harmonies are layered over powerful, heavy grooves as they perform cuts from their recent albums “Living it Up” and “Reggae Train”. Teighan Couch is a jazz vocalist and composer based on Vancouver Island celebrated for her bouncy, straight ahead swing, Great American Songbook composing and sensible bebop scat improvisation. Hand-picked to be the featured Discovery Artist at the Port Theatre and having released her debut album It's Pronounced Cooch on August 22nd 2025, Teighan has proven herself to be an impeccably strong vocalist with an uplifting stage presence. Bury the Leader is a dynamic five-piece pop/rock band bringing together a wealth of musical experience. Featuring Holly Bradbury (vocals), Stephen Meyers (drums), Kimberly Hornaday-Froese (keys), Alec Perkins (guitar), and Phoebe Bidder (bass), the band is made up of accomplished musicians whose collective experience spans decades of performing, recording, and collaborating across a wide range of musical genres. Each member has built an impressive musical career in their own right, performing with various bands on stages throughout the lower mainland including Guilt & Co., The Roxy, The BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts, The Malkin Bowl, even touring across Canada. Ben Wayne Kyle is a guitar player, singer and composer based in Vancouver with over a decade of experience performing. Ben plays across a variety of genres including funk, jazz, folk and rock and is inspired by musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Bahamas, and Bill Frisell.
