The Feel Good Family Band, post-bop / experimental folk / edgy pop / dada / free improv The Feel Good Family Band plays mostly original songs that reflect the music experiences of our three generations. We are Wally Brooker (saxophones, vocals), Cassie Norton (violin, guitar, ukelele, vocals), and Yoshi Maclear Wall (bass, vocals). Wally’s jazz compositions range from outside post-bop to modal folk inspired jazz. Cassie’s songs range from experimental folk and edgy pop, to climate anthems and hymns to the rocks, waters, flora and fauna of the Canadian Shield. Yoshi’s situationist dada compositions, while leaving lots of room for free improvisation, contain instructions for performers which surprise and delight listeners.
