Nic Bray Quartet, Jazz Fusion, Folk, Soul & Latin Influences The Nic Bray Quartet’s soulful yet modern sound weaves together a rich tapestry that draws from many differing musical traditions such as jazz, folk, R&B, soul, funk, and hip-hop, as well as Brazilian and Cuban diaspora musics. Having had compositions premiered/and or commissioned by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, to name a few, Manitoban composer and performer Nic Bray makes his Toronto vocal and saxophone debut playing originals and standards with the Nic Bray Quartet, just one month before making his international debut as composer in residence for the Next Step Clarinet Festival in Veracruz, Mexico. The Adam Dilouya Quintet July 14 @ 5:00 PM Adam Dilouya - Vocals/keys Joel Bracken - Tenor sax Simon Dawes - Guitar Jack Johnston - Bass Alex Sgrignoli - Drums No Reservations Pay What You Can Adam Dilouya is a vocalist and pianist based in Toronto, Ontario. Following the release of his album “Afterimage” in 2023, he discovered a passion for jazz music and improvisation. Heavily inspired by the likes of Chet Baker, Frank Sinatra, and Bill Evans, Adam is known for his heartfelt renditions of ballads and swing tunes from the Great American Songbook. Adam moved to downtown Toronto in 2024 and has become an active performer in the city’s vibrant jazz scene. He also recorded his first jazz album, “Newly Blue”, which will be released in Fall 2026. For his debut show at The Rex, he will be accompanied by the talents of Joel Bracken on the tenor saxophone, Simon Dawes on the guitar, Jack Johnsto
