Live Jazz in Seattle

Tambor e Cordas is a guitar and percussion-based group with vocals. We play a variety of Brazilian and world music styles with jazz influences. Tambor e Cordas has been playing festivals and venues in Washington State for over ten years and has recorded an album and EP. Featuring vocals from Nadine Waldmann who sings in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Seattle based guitarist/composer… one of America’s foremost experts in Pan-African, Soukous, Rumba and Jazz music. A major player on the scene in London, Seattle, Boston, who has played, collaborated and been special guest with African Artist Mose Fan Fan, Ali Birra, Geoffrey Oryema, Diblo Dibala, Orchestra Virunga, Tabu Ley Rochereau and many other important artists. He is also well versed in the be-bop idiom, and many other musical styles and cultural music.

Tenderpile’s Smile Aisle is a jazz combo out of Bellingham led by guitarist Ben Meyer. The concept of this project is to play music that is melodic and easy to listen to, while also being subtly complex and technical, in a configuration suited for the most intimate spaces. Focusing on the music of the Pat Metheny Group, Tenderpile’s Smile Aisle aims to showcase this selection of instrumental deep cuts as a key ingredient for a perfectly relaxed and social environment.
