Live Jazz in Seattle

Rebecca Jaymes was raised in Pleasant Valley, New York. She picked up her first instrument at age three, the violin, and was classically trained on both violin and piano before exploring formal training for her voice. Rebecca graduated from Frost School of Music at the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance, and studied under Dr. Kathryn Reid. After graduating with honors from Frost, Rebecca performed 6 nights a week on board the Navigator of the Seas for Royal Caribbean as the featured jazz vocalist. Since then, she has accumulated over 20 years of gigging experience, including performances at The Carlyle Hotel, The Bitter End, and Caffe Vivaldi in New York City. Rebecca moved to Seattle in 2021 and is thrilled to pick up her vocal career again with the wonderful musicians she has met in the area.

Seattle area music lovers have been tapping their toes and hitting the dance floor to the swinging 85 th Street Big Band for more than 20 years. Our 19-member ensemble recreates the big band sound of the 1930s, ‘40s and ‘50s, as well as more recent collections of Ray Charles, Michael Bublé, and Tower of Power.

Rainy City Riff Raff, a swingin’ eight-piece variety band, is a group with something special…three hot, happening HORNS ! With horns, a solid four-piece rhythm section and lead and backup vocalists you get an upbeat mix of classic hits played with style…and an audience that’s all smiles.
