Career Overview

About Niran Dasika

Dasika’s official biography identifies a Melbourne-based trumpeter, improviser, and composer whose work crosses jazz, free improvisation, and electronic music. It also documents regular activity in Japan after several years living there and eight albums as a bandleader.[1]

His recording guide moves from the quartet debut Manticore (Phantom) through collaborations with pianist Sumire Kuribayashi, a three-volume Assorted Drone Music series, solo processing, and the acoustic trio album Life Forms. The changing formats make electronics and improvisation parallel parts of the catalog.[1][2][3]
