TICKETS: Pay as you wish (Seating) Luis Pisetta Ravanelli: dance, performance Karolina Preuschl: music, performance Naïma Mazic: concept, curation Musical Bodies – a monthly series for dance & music Dancer and choreographer Naïma Mazic selects a Viennese dancer and a Viennese jazz musician, who are commissioned to create a duet together lasting at least 30 and no more than 45 minutes. The task is to explore new avenues in the communication between dance and music, to establish a non-hierarchical dialogue between the visual and the auditory, and to share a common pulse at least once. The artists are free to decide whether and how much they wish to rehearse and research, or whether they will meet for the first time on the day of the performance. Following the performance, there will be a 7-minute audience discussion in which attendees can share their impressions. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, she launched her career in 2018 and has since released five albums and an EP. She quickly established herself as a standout voice on the international music scene and was part of Jacob Collier’s DJESSE World Tour band, among other projects. During this time, she has already shared the stage with artists such as Jessie J, the Gipsy Kings, Charlotte Cardin, and The Paper Kites. In 2020, MARO launched the project ITSAME, MARO, a series of 100 musical collaborations with artists from around the world. In 2025, MARO was also among the most-covered female artists worldwide by other artists and was particularly highlighted by artists in the international music scene. Voices such as Billie Eilish (“That voice!”), Shawn Mendes (“Pure magic!”), and Quincy Jones (“a phenomenal talent with a timeless voice”) underscore her extraordinary artistic presence.
