Dabin Ryu | Piano Warren Louie | Bass Jonas Esser | Drums David Blake | Guitar Brooklyn-based quartet plays guitarist David Blake’s post-bop compositions. From modal romps to group improvisation this band plays with urgency and dynamic interplay Canadian born, Brooklyn based guitarist David Blake is on tour supporting his upcoming album “Radio Casual” to be released summer 2026 on Cellar Music. This quartet features rising star pianist Dabin Ryu (Jonathan Blake, Jaleel Shaw, Jazz Gallery All Stars) drummer Jonas Esser (Yvonne Rogers, Gilad Hekselman) and bassist Warren Louie (Manuel Valera, Ari Hoenig). This group started as a trio, performing David’s music at clubs in Brooklyn, but something was missing. The addition of pianist Dabin Ryu crystalized the sound of the band, adding rich harmony and dynamic interplay. “Radio Casual” follows David’s acclaimed “Trio” album, which features bassist Drew Gress and drummer Ari Hoenig.
