More than just a concert, CompCord at Howland celebrates artistic community and cultural connection. Musicians rooted in the fast-paced experimental scene of New York City meet Beacon’s flourishing creative landscape, creating a dialogue that is spontaneous, adventurous, and deeply collaborative. Audiences can expect an evening filled with rich textures, driving rhythms, poetic interludes, improvisational surprises, and genre-defying compositions that move seamlessly between jazz, chamber music, world music influences, and avant-garde expression. CompCord at Howland continues Composers Concordance’s mission of presenting innovative programming that unites artists and audiences through fearless musical exploration. About ickets: $15 advance, $20 at the door. Damma is a California-based 8-piece instrumental group blending psychedelic jazz, rock, and global rhythm into cinematic, groove-driven soundscapes. Combining vibraphone, flute, and horns with a rock foundation, their music channels a loose, retro-modern feel inspired by late ’60s/early ’70s soundtracks.
