Career Overview
About Terri Lyne Carrington
Carrington's official biography follows her from an early professional career and Berklee study into touring and recording with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and many other artists. Her own recordings place drumming, composition, production, and band leadership on equal footing.[1][3]
The Mosaic Project, Social Science, and New Standards each use a distinct ensemble to address who writes, performs, and is represented in jazz. That work extends into the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, educational publishing, installations, and the Next Jazz Legacy program.[1][2][3]
