Career Overview

About Gilad Hekselman

Hekselman's official biography identifies the Israeli-born guitarist as a New York-based bandleader who arrived in the city as a student in 2004. It documents sustained New York club work, international touring, and a leader catalog alongside a broad set of guest appearances.[1]

The official discography and artist-authorized releases distinguish his GHex Trio and ZuperOctave configurations from later quartet and trio sessions. Far Star broadens the palette through remote and layered production, while Life at the Village Vanguard and Downhill from Here return to compact working groups.[2][3][4][5]
