Over a span of 20 years, Hank featured on hundreds of legendary recordings both as a bandleader and sideman, including his most notable album, Soul Station. She made her Australian debut on International Jazz Day 2023, performing to sold-out audiences at top venues across Sydney. Her growing profile led to a feature interview on SBS as part of its Japanese People Active in Australia series. October 2024 marked her South Korean debut with a sold-out performance at the acclaimed jazz club Flat Nine. From the Birth of the Blues to Bebop, Dixieland to Bossa Nova, discover the sounds that shaped jazz, from its earliest roots to its modern masterpieces. Award-winning jazz vocalist Amelia Evans is one of Melbourne’s rising stars. With a love of storytelling via improvisation, Amelia is recognised for her breathtaking vocal versatility and ability to capture an audience with her authenticity and honesty. A finalist in the 2020 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues National Jazz Awards, Amelia has performed with the likes of Terri-Lyne Carrington, James Morrison, Ari Hoenig, Wycliffe Gordon and Linda May Han Oh. collaborated with pianist Bob Sedergreen on her debut album The First Song, and won a score of awards including the 2017 Generations In Jazz Vocal Scholarship.
