This duo project unfolds as an intimate and evocative musical journey, where voice and piano meet in a space of deep listening, spontaneity, and poetic expression. Rooted in the jazz vocal tradition and enriched by European sensibilities, the music weaves together original compositions alongside personal interpretations of jazz standards and selected works from the jazz tradition. Drawing inspiration from visionary figures such as Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, the project reveals a refined sense of storytelling and harmonic depth. The performance emerges as a living dialogue, shaped by nuance, contrast, and a subtle interplay between composition and poetics. The long-standing artistic connection between Simona Parrinello and Gianluca Di Ienno gives rise to a sound of rare sensitivity, depth, and authenticity.
