KrÅiK (Sweden) Sat, 10 Oct, 2:30pm KrÅiK (Sweden) roams the borderlands between traditional Sámi joik, jazz and improvisational music, with a sound that is both contemporary and rooted in indigenous heritage. Fresh off their Australian debut with Moorambilla Voices at the Sydney Opera House, KrÅiK brings an intimate set of original music to Church Street Studios. Opening for the trio, composer/pianist Elizabeth Jigalin creates a frozen landscape of field recordings inside a piano - inspired by time spent with Anna in Sweden earlier this year.
