New Sun Fri, 21 Aug, 8pm This performance marks a special farewell to the ensemble's co-leader, Alexander Grace before he relocates to New York to commence his studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Rooted in jazz nostalgia, New Sun’s music blends the groove and spirit of swing with the harmonic sophistication and subtlety of contemporary jazz and classical music. This night will feature Zac Sandilands (piano), Matthew Ling (bass), Jack Rosenzweig (drums), Justin Yeo (tenor saxophone), and Alexander Grace (trombone), showcasing some of Australia’s most exciting emerging improvisers.
