A graduate of Wayne State University with a degree in Jazz Performance, Erinn’s musical background is heavily steeped in the traditions of Detroit music. She grew up honing her skills by playing saxophone in church and continued to grow throughout her journey under such mentors as Wendell Harisson, Marcus Belgrave, and Ralphe Armstrong. Erinn Alexis brings a soulful musicality to every performance, drawing from the traditions of gospel and jazz while infusing her own modern voice.
