Accomplished performer and composer Jack Dunlevie leads a dynamic trio for a special one-time performance. Dunlevie's masterful and clever voice as a pianist and bandleader has made him a Nocturne favorite. The band will be performing a blend of original compositions and thoughtful reimaginings of jazz and Great American Songbook standards. Jack Dunlevie is a Denver-based pianist, mandolinist, vocalist, and composer. He graduated from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver winning awards in composition and recital performance.. Performing in Colorado and nationally Jack can be heard as a sideman and leader playing Jazz, Classical, Salsa, and Bluegrass and has presented five residencies at Nocturne focusing on Orignal Works as well as in depth studies of Leonard Bernstein, Oscar Peterson and other iconic artists. Fresh off his recent Grammy Award win, saxophonist and composer Remy Le Boeuf returns to the Nocturne stage to host a special evening of original modern jazz shaped by strong melodies, deep interplay, and adventurous improvisation. Remy is joined by Dave Devine - Guitar, Patrick McDevitt - Bass, Jack Dunlevie - Piano and Dru Heller - Drums. Le Boeuf is the founder of the jazz orchestra, Assembly of Shadows, and the Chief Conductor of the Nordkraft Big Band. He has worked with a range of collaborators including the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Linda Oh, HAIM, JACK Quartet, Dayna Stephens, and his twin brother Pascal, with whom he co-leads the experimental quintet, Le Boeuf Brothers. Le Boeuf's list of honors include commissions from Chamber Music America, and the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra, as well as 7 ASCAP Young Composer Awards, the BMI Charlie Parker Jazz Prize, and the Copland House Residency Award. Le Boeuf is the Director of Jazz and Commercial Music Studies at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music.
