About Denny Berthiaume

Berthiaume’s own biography traces his musical education from childhood piano study in San Francisco through classical repertoire, then into jazz and blues. He later taught English and music at Foothill College while developing his work as a pianist, composer, and arranger.[1][2]

From 1972 through 1980, he recorded five LPs with the fusion group Solar Plexus. His Bay Area work also included a long engagement at the Peninsula club Garden City, theater productions, vocalist accompaniment, and multiple duo and trio formats.[1][2]

The discography on his official site stretches from the 1970s Solar Plexus records to a sequence of Flying Rabbit releases, including the 2022 solo-piano album Homage/Disruption. The same site maintains first-party audio samples from across that catalog.[3][4]

Solar Plexus

Berthiaume’s official history documents five albums with the Bay Area fusion group between 1972 and 1980.[1][3]

Piano and theater work

His résumé joins jazz-club and hotel engagements with musical-theater keyboard work and decades of teaching.[2]

First-party archive

His website offers a broad recording list and artist-hosted samples rather than sending listeners to an unsourced discography.[3][4]
