Career Overview

About Max Haymer

Haymer's official biography identifies him as a pianist, composer, and arranger educated at UC Irvine after earlier study with Tamir Hendelman. It traces an early Catalina Bar trio debut, a 2008 move to New York, and his return to Los Angeles after seven years on the New York scene.[1]

The biography distinguishes three durable strands of his work: the Max Haymer trio and its live album Whirlwind, piano and arranging for Jane Monheit, and a 2015–2025 period as Arturo Sandoval's touring pianist and music director. It also credits Haymer on Sandoval's Rhythm & Soul and on film scores for The Mule and Richard Jewell.[1][2]
