Career Overview
About Julian Lage
Blue Note's biography follows Lage from early public performances into leader, sideman, and duo work spanning jazz and several American guitar traditions. His recording catalog includes partnerships with Gary Burton, Nels Cline, Chris Eldridge, Fred Hersch, John Zorn, and multiple editions of his own groups.[2]
His electric leader groups have changed shape over time: Arclight paired him with Scott Colley and Kenny Wollesen, while Squint established a trio with Jorge Roeder and Dave King. Scenes from Above expands the format to a quartet with Roeder, Wollesen, and keyboardist John Medeski.[2][3][1]
