JazzInBelgium identifies Caffonnette as a Brussels-born pianist who studied classical music before jazz piano and composition at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Its biography traces his early trio and quintet through residencies and jam-session leadership in city clubs.[1]

The institutional profile and artist Bandcamp separate Simplexity, Vers l’azur noir, and Bittersweet Times across quintet, trio, and extended formats. Toots Jazz Club also documents Caffonnette’s later work as a venue founder and recurring jam leader.[1][2][3]
