Dave Green

The National Jazz Archive identifies Green as a British double bassist active across the modern UK jazz era. In a 2023 interview, Green traces his early work from skiffle and the Don Rendell Quintet into an eighteen-year run with Humphrey Lyttelton and engagements with visiting musicians at Ronnie Scott's.[1][2]

The interview also documents Green's own band Fingers, the later Still Waters ensemble with Henry Lowther, and the Dave Green Trio recording Raise Four with guest Evan Parker. The reissued Fingers sessions preserve a separate leader project built around Bruce Turner, Lol Coxhill, Michael Garrick, and Alan Jackson.[2][3]
