From the Birth of the Blues to Bebop, Dixieland to Bossa Nova, discover the sounds that shaped jazz, from its earliest roots to its modern masterpieces. Award-winning jazz vocalist Amelia Evans is one of Melbourne’s rising stars. With a love of storytelling via improvisation, Amelia is recognised for her breathtaking vocal versatility and ability to capture an audience with her authenticity and honesty. A finalist in the 2020 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues National Jazz Awards, Amelia has performed with the likes of Terri-Lyne Carrington, James Morrison, Ari Hoenig, Wycliffe Gordon and Linda May Han Oh. collaborated with pianist Bob Sedergreen on her debut album The First Song, and won a score of awards including the 2017 Generations In Jazz Vocal Scholarship.
