About The Margaret Slovak Quartet will perform a full-length concert at Monks Jazz Club to celebrate the vinyl version release of Margaret's album, "For the Moment," which was originally released on CD in 2007. The album, recorded in NYC in 1989, features eight of Margaret's original compositions. The original band consisted of Margaret on electric guitar, Fred Hersch on piano, Michael Formanek on bass and Michael Sarin on drums. This concert features Margaret's Texas Quartet with three stellar Austin musicians.
