About

Rising star Mariel Bildsten brings her joyful, hard-swinging NY sound to Ken's Jazz Attic, Larchmont NY on Thursday November 12, 2026 from 7-10 PM Doors: 6:30 PM Led by NYC-based trombonist Mariel Bildsten, her small ensembles are known for a purist, bluesy swing style that bridges classic jazz history with contemporary energy. Her arrangements are heavily inspired by legendary big bands like those of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, adapted into a tight, spontaneous small-group format. While the Quartet focuses deeply on classic jazz standards and hard-bop repertoire, Bildsten’s broader musical style also incorporates elements of Afro-Latin jazz. Ken's Jazz Attic is a pop-up jazz club that appears once a month at different venues in Larchmont. Be prepared for a comfortable yet riveting performance.
