Pedrito Martinez is one of the most celebrated percussionists, vocalists, and bandleaders in the world today. A Grammy-nominated artist and recipient of the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Competition Award for Afro-Latin Hand Drumming, Pedrito has become one of the defining voices of Afro-Cuban music. Since arriving in New York from Havana, he has collaborated with Eric Clapton, Wynton Marsalis, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Paul Simon, Camila Cabello, and Eddie Palmieri, while leading one of the most exhilarating live bands on the international stage. As part of The Bitter End's 65th Anniversary Celebration, this four-show residency promises four completely different evenings of unforgettable music.Joining Pedrito for opening night is acclaimed trumpeter Maurice Brown, whose fearless playing effortlessly bridges jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul, and modern improvisation.
