Jackson Potter is a New York City–based guitarist and composer known for blending modern jazz innovation with strong melodic storytelling. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, he studied at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and released his acclaimed debut album, Restless (2021), which earned a spot on RMR’s Top Jazz Album Chart. Since relocating to New York in 2021, Potter has become a sought-after performer, leading groups at venues like Lincoln Center while touring both nationally and internationally as a sideman. His collaborations span artists such as Jaleel Shaw, Troy Roberts, and Stacy Dillard. His latest album, small things (2025), further establishes him as one of jazz’s compelling emerging voices, combining a deep respect for tradition with a forward-looking artistic vision.
