The Margaret Slovak Quartet: Brooklyn, NY Vinyl Release Show For "For The Moment" Album

About Guitarist and composer Margaret Slovak, currently based in Austin, TX, will perform a concert with her New York-based quartet in Brooklyn, NY, to celebrate the vinyl release of "For the Moment." This album of eight of Margaret's original compositions was released on CD in 2007. "For the Moment" was originally recorded in New York City in 1989, and featured Margaret on electric guitar, along with pianist Fred Hersch, bassist Michael Formanek and drummer Michael Sarin. The original drummer on the 1989 recording, Michael Sarin, will join Margaret for this show, along with two other amazing NY-based musicians, pianist Gary Versace and bassist Simòn Willson.
