The Angelo Metz Group is celebrating Latin Jazz Great João Gilberto's Birthday, June 10, 1931 (He would have been 95.) Brazilian-born Angelo Metz started singing & playing guitar at age of 6. Son of a music teacher, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar from the Federal University in Brazil. He also earned a Master’s Degree in studio/Jazz guitar, and a Doctorate in musical arts from USC. Besides playing with his group, Angelo is a solo performer as well as a sideman and recording artist and has performed on hundreds of sessions & live shows. Angelo also writes and records music for films & commercials.
