Willy Rodriguez is a Latin Grammy-winning drummer, composer, and bandleader whose work spans jazz, Latin music, progressive rock, and contemporary improvisation. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory, he has performed and recorded with artists including The Mars Volta, Mon Laferte, Jason Palmer and Dave Liebman. His acclaimed debut album, Seeing Sounds (2024), established him as a distinctive compositional voice, blending modern classical influences, Latin traditions, and avant-garde jazz. In 2026, he released In the Unknown (I Will Find You) on Sunnyside Records, a deeply personal work featuring Leo Genovese, Ingrid Laubrock, and Allan Harris. Rodriguez continues to perform internationally as both a bandleader and collaborator while maintaining an active career in the contemporary jazz and creative music scenes.
