The High Standards Trio

About

The InterContinental Barclay's Club Sessions present The High Standards Trio. Space is limited: RSVP at [email protected] (the ticket charge includes two sets of music from 6PM to 8PM plus refreshments and hors d'oeuvres). New Orleans with a touch of Habanera, Ragtime and Blues, The High Standards Trio - Jonathan Moritz (saxophone), Chris Welcome (banjo), Shayna Dulberger (bass) - explores early jazz from the 1920’s and 30’s. Featuring a healthy dose of prohibition-era compositions by Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, W.C. Handy and Hoagy Carmichael, their sound is influenced by the broad vibrato of Sidney Bechet and joyful rhythms that may just have you dancing the Foxtrot.
