Louise Alexandra Presents "Crazy World Of Love"

About

Dutch-American jazz vocalist LOUISE ALEXANDRA returns to Boston to present her third album Crazy World of Love in her musical hometown. After 15 years in Boston where she worked closely with Rebecca Parris on her first two albums, Louise spent the past decade in the Netherlands, balancing cancer research with music while exploring new musical collaborations. Recorded with Dutch master jazz pianist Rob van Bavel and his band, Crazy World of Love features a collection of original compositions (including new lyrics to music by Rob van Bavel and Emmet Cohen), alongside reimagined jazz standards, and vocalese – a new dimension in Louise’s songwriting. From intimate ballads to waltz, Latin, and uptempo swing, the album explores love in all its forms. Louise is excited to be joined by a first class trio (pianist Paul McWilliams, bassist Dave Landoni. and drummer Mark Walker) to share these wonderful arrangements with her greater Boston community.
