A respected educator and lecturer, jazz saxophonist and composer Dennis Mitcheltree and his trio will make their debut in Los Feliz Village. The performance will feature excerpts from his eighth album, “Seeing Red,” alongside classic straight-ahead standards. Rooted in traditional jazz while embracing contemporary phrasing and feeling, Mitcheltree brings a modern voice to classic jazz forms. Together, the trio creates a remarkably cohesive sound and fluid interplay with a performance that is vivid, deliberate, and expressive.
