Pat Levett's Harmonica Quintet

606 Club in London, Chelsea.

About

As a drummer Pat Levett includes work with the likes of Tom Jones, James Hunter & Tim Minchin but is probably best known here at the Club as the drummer/leader of the ever-popular band The Coalminers. However, Pat plays harmonica on several numbers during the show, and is also a highly accomplished chromatic harmonica player (meaning, it plays all 12 notes of the Western musical scale). Pat’s 2024 album “Where Do You Start” showcased his talent on the instrument, and his recording sessions on harmonica include the likes of James Morrison, Pete Townshend, The London Philharmonic Orchestra & Elaine Page. As Pat says, “expect melodies and songs from composers and artists such as Quincy Jones, Kenny Wheeler, Herbie Hancock, Ry Cooder and of course Stevie Wonder!”. Unsurprisingly the band is made up some of the UK's finest musicians, Ross Stanley Hammond organ, Artie Zaitz guitar, Tom Herbert bass and Ian Thomas drums, plus a little bit of percussion from Pat as well! “The biggest, and most welcome, surprise is Pat Levett’s harmonica solo…Levett’s performance…bringing a fresh voice to this oft-covered song” UK Jazz News
