About
Fulton Street Collective presents a performance with Rodrigo Romero and Organic Chemistry on Tuesday, November 17th at 7:30pm. The evening will feature live painting from visual artist TBA. Rodrigo Romero (aka RoD) is a Peruvian tenor saxophonist, composer, and educator based in northern New Jersey. Known for blending modern jazz with Latin American traditions—including Afro-Peruvian rhythms—he actively performs across the New York, New Jersey, and Lima jazz scenes. He studied under Latin Grammy winner Anibal Seminario, played first tenor for the Tempo Big Band, and went on to earn a Master of Music (MM) in Jazz Saxophone from Montclair State University. His recent discography includes the 2025 album Libre Esencia, which features a jazz/Afro-Peruvian reimagining of the classic bolero “Piel Canela” alongside vocalist Manuela Zapata.
