Modern Motion Orchestra is a 15-piece large ensemble, performing the original compositions and arrangements of composer and bandleader Addison Tharp. Blending the rich traditions of jazz with classical music, pop, salsa, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and orchestral textures, MMO creates a bold and genre-defying musical experience. Featuring many of Los Angeles’ most in-demand musicians, MMO brings Tharp’s dynamic, expressive, and immersive works to life.
