Musicians such as Roy Hargrove, Cedar Walton, Benny Golson, Ralph Peterson, and Jeff “Tain” Watts have been key inspirations for the band. The Scarpetta project is an album that captures the life changes Karles Pérez has experienced in recent years. To bring it to life, he surrounded himself with close friends who are also outstanding musicians. Thus, the great challenge of realizing a project like this became a true pleasure, comparable only to savoring a delicious dish with a piece of bread, or as the Italians say, “Fare la Scarpetta” .
