About
Musical Style: Jazz standards, cover songs, originals Makayla Dooley Mak Dooley grew up the daughter of a music teacher, beginning piano instruction at 5 years old. At age 9, she learned flute & picked up trombone at 12. She has always sung in choirs at church and school. She attended University of Northern Colorado to obtain her bachelor’s degree in jazz piano performance. Immediately after graduating she took a month long hiatus from playing piano & decided to explore writing her own music more seriously. She began this introspective journey while traveling the world & working on cruise ships. Since returning to Colorado in 2017 she has been performing, teaching & accompanying throughout Denver. Makayla has released two albums with different originals projects, Nothing is Everything and Moonglade. Drew Packard is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer currently based in Denver, CO. He has performed across the country and shared the stage with many iconic artists such as Bob Dorough, Earth Wind and Fire, Veronica Swift, Official Blues Bros. Revue, Conrad Herwig, Al Schackman, Champian Fulton, Jake Hertzog, Warren Wolf, Gregorio Uribe etc. Drew studied jazz/classical guitar and composition as well as upright and electric bass at the University of Arkansas where he received a B.A. in Music. No matter which instrument he's playing, his music is always guided by the desire to provide audiences with moments of deep enrichment.
