Born of Japanese and New Zealander heritage, his music is rooted in the principle of onkochishin - using knowledge of the past to illuminate the future. His 20+ album discography includes Heritage, a deep dive into his Japanese roots, and Past Present (Tone Poems Across Time), a deeply personal ambient-jazz meditation on memory and ancestry.
