Here, in the heart of Europe, chanson drifts through cellar cafés, folk melodies beckon around street corners and jazz electrifies the night air. In this spirit, the ensemble weaves a set of French and Czech chanson, European and American folk, and a handful of American Songbook favourites. Think of a hidden corner where Édith Piaf, Miles Davis, Leonard Cohen and Chet Baker might all have passed through on different nights, leaving their traces behind in the smoke.
