Raised in a deeply musical household in Jackson, Mississippi, Mike Burton’s artistry blends Southern soul, jazz tradition, and modern groove. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Studies from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, studying under the legendary David Baker. Those roots shine through in every performance, from his rich horn lines to his dynamic, crowd-moving arrangements.
