Brood Awakening is a monthly student jazz jam session hosted at The Rabbit Box in Pike Place Market. The jam offers student musicians the opportunity to perform alongside a house rhythm section and leading artists from the Northwest jazz community. This session features renowned Seattle Hammond B3 organist Joe Doria, founder and bandleader of the acclaimed organ trio McTuff. Student musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and sit in with the band. House rhythm section: Xavier Colón (piano), Donovon Lewis (drums), Theo McGaughey (bass). No cover.
