Join us for a prodigious double-header directed by Nii Akwei Adoteye. The 11th Hour Music Saxophone Quartet is an invitation-only ensemble. Members are chosen based on observations of a high level of performance aptitude, musical focus and personal organization. Students rehearse during the summer to bring to life some of the intricate and exciting music of the jazz and pop saxophone world. Jonah Rovner – Soprano and Alto Sax Cormic Mahaffey-Grauer – Alto Sax Cole Silvestro – Tenor Sax Alec Bader – Baritone Sax The Junior Jazz Lab is how talented students from across Montgomery County get together to learn play your jazz favorites. Groups from this program have wowed audiences at jazz clubs, festivals, and regional cultural events since 2019. Students study together in 3-month sessions where they learn repertoire and vocabulary of small group jazz, while also developing the creative and logistical skills necessary to join the professional jazz scene.
