On this night, dads from all over Melbourne congregate to celebrate a love of family, jazz and family jazz. Expect a swinging set of carefully selected father-themed jazz presented by the Yael Zamir Sextet. We invite fathers and children alike to join this paternal musical experience - bring your friends, family, and everyone in between. About the band: Yael Zamir is a jazz flute player and composer performing regularly in the Melbourne music scene. Following her study of both classical and jazz flute, she has had the pleasure of performing alongside esteemed Australian musicians such as Paul Grabowsky, Tony Gould, James Sherlock, Alastair Kerr, Rob Burke and Simon Starr. In 2022, Yael received the Geoffrey Whitelaw Jazz Recognition Award and has since been exploring Melbourne's diverse music scene through a variety of projects, many with an emphasis on Latin music.
